Host of the final Olympic Qualifier Series competition ahead of the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, the 88,000-square-foot Lauridsen Family Skatepark is the largest skatepark in the United States. It includes a wide range of recreational and competition-level features, including Olympic-caliber Park and Street courses (including a 15-stair set with handrails), flow bowl, amoeba pool (8.5-feet deep), junior flow bowl (7-feet deep), and a snake run. Visitors can also enjoy the quarter-mile, 38-foot-wide promenade with mini-ramps, banks, curbs, and cantilevered quarter pipes that borders the skatepark. Another significant feature is the signature "WOW" sculpture piece.

The Lauridsen Skatepark sits on the bank of the Des Moines River in downtown Des Moines, bringing the region's skaters together with other community members who visit the park to enjoy the scenery and appreciate the talent displayed by the many local and visiting skaters.
