Scotty Lapp was a skiing legend in his hometown of Corte Madera, California, near San Francisco, and also in Lake Tahoe, where his family moved to allow Scotty and his brother to pursue their passion for skiing. Scotty was also an avid skater. So, when he passed away in 2022, his friends and family sought to memorialize Scotty with a fitting tribute, the Scotty Lapp Memorial Skatepark---a place for area youth to come together, be active, and have fun.
